PandaPostcard FAQ

Getting Started

What is PandaPostcard?

PandaPostcard is a global postcard-exchange service—send and receive real postcards, collect stamps as in-app currency, earn badges for challenges, and build warm, handwritten connections!

How do I get started?
  1. Sign up at pandapostcard.com
  2. Enter your name & mailing address
  3. You'll immediately receive a random address and your unique postcard code (e.g. PP-123456) under My Profile → Assigned Addresses

Sending & Tracking

Where do I send my first postcard?

Go to My Profile → Assigned Addresses. You'll see your given address—write your card, stick the postage stamp in the top right, include your Postcard ID in the bottom left, and mail it.

How much do I pay for postage?

You pay your country's standard international postcard rate. Check with your local post office for exact pricing.

Why do I need a postcard code?

Your code (PP-XXXXXX) lets our system track delivery. When the recipient registers it, we credit your account with stamps and release your next address into the queue.

How long until I receive a postcard back?

After your recipient registers your code, their address becomes active and someone else will send you a postcard. A full round typically takes 2–6 weeks.

How do I mark my postcard as sent?

In My Profile → Assigned Addresses, find the address and click "Mark as Sent" once you've mailed your card.

What if my postcard never arrives?

If your code isn't registered within 6 weeks, we automatically re-queue your address so you can try again—your earned stamps remain intact.

How many postcards can I have in transit at once?

…and you gain +1 extra postcard for every +50 stamps thereafter.

Currency & Rewards

What are stamps and badges?

Stamps are your in-app currency, earned for every send, receive, review, and completed challenge.

Badges are collectible awards you unlock by completing tasks (e.g. "Send 10 postcards," "Review 5 received cards," "Holiday Panda," etc.).

What are challenges?

Short tasks that earn you special badges. Examples:

  • Send 10 postcards
  • Review 5 received postcards

Writing & Formatting

How do I write a postcard?

On the writable side:

  • Left area: Your personal message
  • Bottom-left corner: Your Postcard ID (PP-XXXXXX)
  • Right side: Recipient's address (as shown in Assigned Addresses)
  • Top-right corner: The postage stamp
What should I write on my postcard?

Try any of these prompts:

  • Describe your day or local routine
  • Share 5 fun facts about your region
  • Recommend a favorite quote, recipe, book, or song
  • Draw your surroundings or the weather forecast
  • What makes you happy? Write a short acrostic or haiku
Do I need an envelope or return address?

Envelope: Most postcards travel safely un-enveloped. Follow the recipient's profile request if they ask.

Return address: Optional—only needed if you want replies outside our exchange loop.

Profile & Community

Where can I view my postcards, stamps & badges?

On My Profile:

  • "My Postcards" shows galleries of sent & received cards
  • "Stamps & Badges" lists your earned stamps and collected badges
What should I write on my profile?

Make it fun and informative—everyone reads it! Include:

  • A brief intro ("Hi, I'm Alex from Tokyo…")
  • Local highlights (food, festivals, landmarks)
  • Your hobbies, favorite book/movie/quote
  • Languages you speak or want to practice
What is Travel Mode?

Set Travel Mode in Settings when you're abroad. Your postcard origin will show your travel location, and you won't receive cards until you switch back to Active mode.

Where can I buy postcards?

Common sources include:

  • Post offices, tourist shops, museum gift stores
  • Stationery or book stores, kiosks, supermarkets
  • Online marketplaces (search "postcard packs")

Security & Support

Is my personal address safe?

Yes. We only share your mailing address with one random user at a time and never publish it publicly.

What if my postcard is lost?

If your code isn't registered within 6 weeks, your address goes back into the queue so you can try again—you won't lose stamps for a lost card.
